The last few months of the year always the fastest. Once the monotony of winter ends and the and the spark of spring turns up, everyone is excited to go out and get some. Uni is ramping up, the days are getting longer, summer sports are begging and everyone is looking for reasons to make up for missed time spent indoors. I can’t say it’s any different for me, here are a few shots from the last week.
Notable spring moments include the first ride to work at 5:55AM that doesn’t require a coat and gloves, or leaving the office after work and getting bombarded by heat as you step outside. There’s the endless spring light that catches you by surprise when it hangs around until after 7PM or driving with the windows down in the middle of the night.
My cat Pickles is seen here stalking prey in the suburban garden. Skinks and bugs alike are easy prey for all sorts of animals as they come out of the woodwork for the season. The cat & local magpies are known to fight over territory.
The blog has been slow as of late but that’s only because there is too much fun to be had outside rather than in. Either way I have a bunch more photos and ideas in the pipeline, so for now just shut your laptop and go outside.
